The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is seeking an accomplished nationally and/or internationally recognized Dean to enhance and strengthen the School and its missions and to take responsibility for all matters relating to the administration of the School including academic programs, faculty, staff, students, facilities, resources, budgets, alumni, fundraising, and relationships with the UMB campus, Baltimore City and community.

The UMB campus comprises six professional schools and one graduate school on a 71- acre research and technology complex, encompassing 65 buildings in West Baltimore, near the Inner Harbor. UMB is an economic engine that returns more than $15 in economic activity for every $1 of State general funds appropriation. In fiscal year (FY) 2013, UMB sponsored research totaled $479.8 million.

Applicants must hold the D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree, hold board certification or equivalent credentials, and be eligible for dental licensure in Maryland. All inquiries, nominations, and applications will be treated confidentially.
