2nd Year General Practice Residency Position with Emphasis in Special Care Dentistry
The University of Washington School of Dentistry (UWSOD) is seeking a dental resident passionate about the care of patients with developmental disabilities and other special health care needs. This 12-month clinical training program is a second year General Practice Residency (GPR) position with an emphasis in Special Care Dentistry. The program has a strong focus on the care of adults with developmental disabilities through the UW Dental Education in the Care of Persons with Disabilities (DECOD) Program. Residents also gain experience in hospital and geriatric dentistry and participate in an interdisciplinary fellowship program through the UW Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program.
Eligible applicants will have completed 1-year of either a General Practice Residency (GPR) or an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency (AEGD) through an ACGME accredited institution. Qualified candidates must have a DDS or equivalent from a U.S. or Canadian Accredited Dental School and must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident.
