University of Boston – Chair of the Department of General Dentistry

Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine invites applications and nominations for a full time position as Chair of the Department of General Dentistry at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The responsibilities of the position include administration, strategic planning, resource management, fostering development of junior faculty and continuing implementation and integration of the pre-doctoral curriculum.  The successful applicant is expected to take a strong leadership role in the department’s pre-doctoral didactic and clinical education, research and service missions. Among the major qualifications for this position are a DMD/DDS or equivalent degree from a Commission on Dental Accreditation accredited institution or equivalent program. The applicant must be eligible for dental licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have administrative experience, and a record of significant academic achievement and scholarly activity. The position is available for appointment in September 2015.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
