Westat is currently seeking motivated individuals with a commitment to excellence for the ongoing National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The core of NHANES involves in-person household interviews and medical examinations conducted in a mobile examination center (MEC). The dentist conducts an oral health exam of study participants, including assessment of oral conditions and diseases (e.g., edentulism, dental sealants, and dental caries.) Applicants must have a DDS or DMD degree, an active license in any of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia, and one year of experience in a medical or dental facility. Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Pay rates are based on experience. FULL-TIME CONTINUOUS TRAVEL FOR APPROXIMATELY 48 WEEKS PER YEAR IS REQUIRED with a 1-year minimum commitment (only go home twice a year at specified times).
