The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is searching for a full-time Clinical-track Faculty in Clinic Administration.
Major responsibilities include:
-Didactic/clinical instruction of pre-doctoral students in the Admissions Clinic, including management of urgent care patients;
-Screening and routing of patients in the Admissions Clinic;
-Oversight of students performing comprehensive examinations and fabricating treatment plans in the Oral Diagnosis clinic;
-Providing hygiene checks in the Faculty General Practice clinic;
-Providing urgent care, including extraction and root canal therapy; and
-Active participation in the department faculty practice plan.
The position is available as of June 30, 2025; screening will begin immediately.
Applicants must have:
-DDS/DMD from CODA/CDAC-accredited dental school; and
-State of Iowa Dental License, or eligible for a Faculty Permit, issued by the Iowa Dental Board.
Desirable qualifications:
-GPR or AEGD training;
-Clinical teaching experience;
-Private practice experience;
-Experience with electronic health records; and
-Interest/experience with clinical research, dental care accessibility, quality assurance, or data analysis.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any history of misconduct or pending research misconduct investigation, including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment, and provide a related release. They will also be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
