The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time clinical-track faculty member in the Department of Family Dentistry.
Major responsibilities include:
- Mentoring pre-doctoral dental students;
- Providing clinical and didactic instruction;
- Supervision of all phases of direct comprehensive dental patient care (including implant therapy, fixed and removable prosthodontics) in the Family Dentistry pre-doctoral student clinic;
- Providing prosthodontic consultation in the Family Dentistry pre-doctoral student clinic; and
- Participation in the department’s faculty intramural practice.
The position is available June 30, 2023; screening begins immediately.
Applicants must have:
- DDS/DMD or equivalent;
- By time of appointment, Master’s Degree and/or Certificate in Prosthodontics; and
- At least two years of dental practice experience via private practice, military, or in an educational environment.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Demonstrated record of innovative teaching methodologies in an evolving dental curriculum; and
- Other relevant teaching and practice experience.
