The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Department of Orofacial Sciences invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the HS Clinical or Clinical X series in the Division of Periodontology. The successful candidate will serve as a member of the University’s faculty, will participate in clinical service within the UCSF Division of Periodontology Clinics to care for patients and will teach, train and to contribute to the educational activities of predoctoral students, and postgraduate students in periodontology certificate program in the School of Dentistry. The applicant must possess a DDS or equivalent, to be Board Certified in Periodontology by the American Board of Periodontology (ABP), and have the ability to practice dentistry in the state of California. Preference will be given to candidates who also have expertise in the areas of advance computer assisted design and manufacture in implantology procedures, possess a dentist license in a state in the United States and a Conscious/Moderate Sedation Certification, and those with at least two years of teaching experience at the predoctoral and/or postgraduate level in periodontology. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. This position includes membership in the [health sciences compensation plan](https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
