Assistant/Associate Professor – Dental Hygiene
East Tennessee State University’s Dental Hygiene Program is accepting applications for a 9-month clinical or tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Clinical, didactic, laboratory, and online instruction;
  • Participation in service, research, and scholarly activities

Opportunities exist for teaching in the Allied Health Masters Degree Program. Clinical track appointments may be convertible to tenure-track no later than the end of year three of the appointment.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field with
  • Five (5) years of full-time clinical experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist
  • Tennessee Registered Dental Hygienist or candidate currently seeking a Tennessee license
  • Must be a graduate of a program that is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree or enrollment in a doctoral program in Dental Hygiene or related field.
  • Two (2) years experience teaching in a CODA-accredited Dental Hygiene program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical adjunct faculty with a background in educational methodology.
