Clinical or Tenure-track Faculty – Prosthodontics

The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Prosthodontics. Major responsibilities include: overseeing the treatment of patients and education of dental students in the prosthodontic dental student clinics; teaching undergraduate and/or graduate level courses; and treatment of private patients in the department’s intramural faculty practice. The position is available July 8, 2024; screening begins immediately.

Applicants must have:

  • DDS/DMD or equivalent; and
  • By time of appointment, Master’s Degree or Certificate in Prosthodontics from a CODA/CDAC-accredited program;

-OR-

  • DDS/DMD or equivalent;
  • Master’s Degree or Certificate in Prosthodontics; and
  • At least 10 years advanced Prosthodontic teaching experience or advanced Prosthodontic clinical experience.

 

Desirable qualifications:

  • Digital (CAD/CAM) software expertise; and
  • Experience implementing Prosthodontic curriculum/teaching innovations.

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
