Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences, Division of Oral Medicine, at the Assistant/ Associate/Full Professor rank. The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation, and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care, and service.

This position will serve as Program Director for a planned newly established Advanced Education Program in Oral Medicine. Responsibilities for this position will center on advanced education (resident) level didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction, participation in research/scholarly activity, and intramural faculty practice. Responsibilities as Program Director include program administration, preparation of reports, resident scheduling, and faculty assignment. The Program Director is also responsible for developing and implementing the curriculum plan, ongoing evaluation of program content/outcome assessment, faculty teaching and resident performance, and resident training and supervision evaluation.

Minimum requirements include:

• DDS, DMD, or equivalent degree.
• Training (Oral Medicine Residency/Certificate) from a CODA-accredited Oral Medicine program.
• Board Eligible or Board Certification from the American Board of Oral Medicine.
• Previous teaching experience in Oral Medicine.
• Previous clinical experience in Oral Medicine.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous experience teaching advanced education students.
• Previous clinical practice experience with oral medicine patients with chronic oral diseases, oral oncology, supportive care in cancer
• Involvement in research /scholarly activities.
• Expertise and national/international recognition in the field would be desirable.

Expected Salary:

Salary and rank are commensurate with credentials and experience.
