The Louisiana State University Health School of Dentistry at New Orleans seeks nominations and applications for the Chair, Department of Prosthodontics position. This is a full-time, tenure, or clinical track position. The School of Dentistry seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, and service have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence in dental education. The Chair is integral to the School of Dentistry’s Leadership team. The position is associated with four critical areas of responsibility: pre-doctoral education, advanced education, scholarly activity, and Faculty Practice patient care. Other duties will include administrative responsibilities such as departmental planning, budgeting, faculty staffing, and supervision. This position reports to the Dean of the School of Dentistry. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
Qualification Requirements: Applicants must have a D.D.S. / D.M.D. degree or equivalent, prior teaching experience in dental education, completion of an A.D.A. accredited advanced education program in Prosthodontics, and the ability to obtain a restricted Louisiana dental license by the date of hire. Certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics and administrative experience are highly desirable qualifications.
