LSUHSC – New Orleans School of Dentistry seeks a highly qualified candidate for the full-time, non­tenure track position of Assistant Professor – Clinical in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide clinical instruction and supervision in Operative Dentistry to undergraduate dental students, ensuring they develop the practical skills and clinical judgment necessary for successful practice. In addition to clinical teaching, the role involves delivering lectures, performing administrative duties, and participating in departmental and institutional committees. The ideal candidate must have a DDS/DMD degree in General Dentistry, with at least two years of experience in a General Dentistry practice or previous teaching experience in Operative Dentistry at a CODA­accredited School of Dentistry. Eligibility to practice dentistry in Louisiana is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) or General Practice Residency (GPR) program, have experience with digital dentistry and CAD/CAM technologies, and are interested in research or curriculum development. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in education, mentorship, and community engagement, aligning with the mission and values of LSUHSC – New Orleans School of Dentistry.
